Importing Music From Your Computer

In addition to your CD collection, you might also have music stored on your computer's hard drive that you'd like to include in My Music. It's easy to import these songs into your Yahoo! Music Jukebox library.

Files that you import from your computer to My Music are burnable, local music.

Here’s How

  1. Launch the Yahoo! Music Jukebox.

  2. If you want to add one or more individual music files, select Add Files to My Music… from the Yahoo! Music Jukebox's File menu.

    Select File > Add Files to My Music....

  3. In the Add Files to My Music window, locate the song or songs you want to import, select them, and click Open.

    Tip: Hold the cursor over the name of a music file to see more information about it

  4. If you have an entire folder of music that you'd like to add, select Add a Folder to My Music… from the File menu.

    Select File > Add a Folder to My Music...

  5. In the Browser For Folder window, select the folder you want to import, then click OK.

    Select a folder, then click OK.

  6. Confirm the successful content import by clicking the OK button.

    Click OK to acknowledge the successful import.

 

What’s Next

When the import is done, the songs imported from your hard drive appear in My Music with the type "Imported" next to their names.
