Saving an IM Conversation to a Text File

You can save any IM conversation as a text file and then open it in a text editor.

 

Here’s How

  1. At any time during an IM conversation, choose Save As from the Conversation menu in the IM window.

    Choose Save As from the Conversation menu.

    The Save Conversation History window opens.

  2. In the Save Conversation History window, use the default file name or type a new file name, then click the Save button.

    Your conversation is saved as a text file that you can open with any text editor.
