| Introducing the Voice Messages Window | Setting Voice Message Preferences | Listening to Your Voice Messages | Managing Your Voice Messages |
The Voice Messages & Call History window shows a history of your incoming and outgoing calls, calls that you missed, and voice messages that contacts have left you.
Tip:
If
you've signed up for any Yahoo! Premium
Calling services, the window also displays
calls to and from regular phones and
mobile phones and provides a link to your Yahoo! Voice account where
you can view your Yahoo! Voice call history
in detail.

Each entry in the call history list tells you the type, the contact, and the length, date, and time of the call. The icons indicate the entry's type:
| Incoming call | |
| Outgoing call | |
| Missed call | |
| Voice message |
In this window, not only can you listen to your voice messages, you can also return calls, add friends to your Messenger List, and more.
Open the Voice Messages & Call History window in one of the following ways:
Click the Voice Messages & Call History icon at the top of your Messenger List.

Select Voice Messages & Call History from the Contacts menu in the Messenger window.
Right-click a contact in the Messenger List and select Voice Messages & Call History from the menu.
In the IM window, select Contact Options > Voice Messages & Call History from the Actions menu.
The Voice Messages & Call History window opens. Unless you've opened the window with a specific contact selected, the window displays your voice messages (if you have any) or your entire call history (if you don't have any voice messages).
To see your call history with a specific contact, select the contact's name.

The list on the right updates to show only the interactions with the selected contact.

Tips:
If you've signed up for
any Yahoo! Premium
Calling services,
you may also see calls made to and from
regular phones and mobile phones.
Click Show
entire call history to
return to the view of all interactions
(or click Call
History on
the left).
You can select a line in the history window and do the following:
Listen to a voice message if the line includes the voice message icon.

Begin a call by clicking the Call button.

Tip: The type of call you make depends on the row you select and the calling services you have. For example, say you select a missed call from Randa Mayberry. If Randa's call was a PC-to-PC call, you will be calling her computer when you click the call button. If you have Yahoo! Phone Out and Yahoo! Phone In (both premium services of Yahoo! Voice), and Randa's call was from a phone, you will be calling her phone when you click the call button.
Begin an instant message by clicking the Send an instant message button.

Add the person's name to your Messenger List by clicking the Add button.

Tip: The Add button is disabled if the selected name is already on your Messenger List.
Add the person's name to your Ignore list by clicking the Stop receiving messages button.

Tip: The Ignore button is disabled if the selected name is on your Messenger List. You must remove the name from your list before you can add it to your Ignore list.
Delete the call record from the history list by clicking the Delete button.

Tip: You can also Shift-click or Ctrl-click to select multiple records for deletion, as well as press Ctrl-A to select all items in the call history.
You can decide when you want Messenger to save a history of your calls.
