Examples:
- If a U.S. customer enters a valid address and zip code and the card is supported and the system is available then you would see the code "YYY" for the AVS Code in the Payment Info section of the Order page.
- If a U.S. customer enters a valid 5-digit zip code but an invalid address then you would see the code "NYZ" for the AVS Code in the Payment Info section of the Order page. If you chose to flag orders with this response, the order would appear marked with a "pending review" status on the Order page. You would then need to make a decision to follow up with the customer or issuing bank and either accept or cancel the order based on your investigation.

Examples:
- If a non-U.S. customer with a Visa card enters a valid address and postal code and the card is supported and the system is available then you would see the code "YYD" or "YYM" for the AVS Code in the Payment Info section of the Order page.
- If a non-U.S. customer with a Visa card enters a valid postal code but an invalid address then you would see the code "NYP" for the AVS Code in the Payment Info section of the Order page. If you chose to flag orders with this response, the order would appear marked with a "pending review" status on the Order page. You would then need to make a decision to follow up with the customer or issuing bank and either accept or cancel the order based on your investigation.
Note: You must have your online payment processing set to perform real-time authorizations in order to use AVS and CVV Rules to flag orders based on response codes as part of Risk Tools. Without real-time authorization, Risk Tools cannot check the address and card verification value provided by customers during checkout. View instructions for enabling real-time authorization of orders.
