In the past, PayPal Premier accounts could be used to accept payments for your store. PayPal now requires that merchants adding PayPal to their store either sign up for, or upgrade to a PayPal Business account.

A PayPal Business account allows you to operate under a business name, for the same fees as a Premier account. When your shoppers view payment pages on PayPal during checkout and receive payment notices from PayPal, your business name registered with PayPal would appear in the "Pay To" field. PayPal Business account members can change the business name on the account if they choose.

To upgrade to a PayPal Business account:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the "Upgrade Account" link in the Enhance Account box.
3. Click Upgrade Now.
4. Choose a Business account.
5. Click Continue.
6. Fill in your business information and click Continue.
