Rating a Track That's Playing

Rating music helps Yahoo! Music improve your listening experience. When you sign into the AT&T Yahoo! Music Jukebox, you’ll see music recommendations in Yahoo! Music Unlimited. These recommendations are based on your ratings.

You can easily rate music while you’re listening to it. It doesn't matter if you’re listening to a song from Yahoo! Music Unlimited or LAUNCHcast Radio, or from one of your playlists or My Music. Whenever you select a track and play it, you can rate it.

Here’s How

  1. Double-click a song to listen to the music.

The song displays in the Information pane and the 4-star rating tool displays on the right-hand side.

Use the 4-star rating tool to rate a song, artist, and album.

You can rate the track, the artist, and the entire album.

Tip: If you don't want to see the 4-star rating tool when you listen to music, from the View pull-down menu, uncheck the option Show Ratings.

  2. Click any star to rate the song. And if you click the ban icon (The ban icon.) you’ll never have to listen to that song again!

Click a star or the ban icon to rate music.

From a Playlist and My Music, you only see the 4-star rating for the individual song. Simply click a star or the ban icon to rate the music.

Click a star or the ban icon to rate a song.
