Overview Using Messenger Sidebar Module Features

Using Messenger Sidebar Module Features

When Messenger is the active Sidebar module, you can change your status, send an instant message, invite a friend to co-browse with you, start your webcam, and add a contact to Messenger—all without having to open the full AT&T Yahoo! Messenger.

Here's How

  1. Make sure that Messenger is the active module.

  2. Send an instant message to one of the contacts on your contact list by clicking the contact name. The familiar Instant Message window appears. Type your message as usual.

  3. Invite one of your contacts to co-browse with you by right-clicking the contact's name and then selecting Invite to Co-browse from the shortcut menu.

Right-click a name and select Invite to Co-Browse

  4. Start your webcam by clicking my webcam near the top of the Messenger Sidebar module.

Click My Webcam to start your webcam.

  5. Click the >> button to access additional Messenger features, such as sending a file, sending email to the selected contact, adding a contact, showing friends, and refreshing the Messenger Sidebar module. Select the desired action, and then use it as you normally would.
