You can use AT&T Mail to send messages from a non-Yahoo! email address, even if you don’t receive—or "pop"—messages from that account. This means that you can set up AT&T Mail to send all your email from one place, and choose the address you use to send each message. Of course, being able to send messages from a non-Yahoo! email address is especially useful if you also check external (POP) mail and want to reply to emails that were sent to you at a different email address.
Tip: You can’t configure AT&T Mail to retrieve messages from another AT&T Mail account that hasn’t been set up for POP3 access, but you can still send messages from that account.
Follow the procedure for adding a non-Yahoo! email address through Step 2: Enter Email Address. (Remind me how.)
If you don’t want to retrieve messages from this non-Yahoo! account using AT&T Mail, click the Skip This Step button to skip Step 3.
The Verify Account page appears.
If the email address shown is correct, click the Send Verification button. AT&T Mail sends a confirmation message to the specified email address.
To verify that you are the owner of that email account, check that email account for the message from AT&T Mail, and follow the instructions in the message to complete the verification process.
Once you have verified that you own the non-Yahoo! mail account, the address is added to the From pull-down menu on the Compose screen.
To send a message from a non-Yahoo! email address, compose a message and select the address using the From menu.

When you reply to a message retrieved from a non-Yahoo! email account, AT&T Mail automatically uses the return address associated with that account. Use the From menu to select a different address.
