Yahoo! Autosync is a software application that synchronizes your Yahoo! Address Book, Calendar, To-Do List, and Notepad data with your desktop personal information manager (PIM), which can be any of the following:
Yahoo! Autosync compares your Yahoo! data to the data in your PIM application and makes necessary changes in either system to ensure that they both contain the same data. That way, when you add or delete something in one system and not the other, Autosync adds or deletes it in the system that needs updating. And, it can do it automatically! You don’t need to worry about keeping your information up to date in several places, just let Autosync do its job in the background. Of course, if you feel that you need more control, you can use Autosync in manual mode and initiate a sync whenever you like (even if you continue to allow automatic syncing).
Tips:
Yahoo! Autosync supports Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP Pro SP2, and Windows XP Home SP2.
When you make a change in your PIM data, Autosync updates your Yahoo! account within a minute. When you change data in your Yahoo! account, Autosync updates your PIM applications anywhere between a minute to an hour.
Yahoo! Autosync is not automatically installed. You must download and install it.
