Why can't I see my Avatar?

If you can't see your picture or your Avatar, you might have a corrupt file in your cache folder. Deleting the cache files will correct this display issue. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to your desktop and double-click "My Computer."
  2. Click the "C:" drive.
  3. Find these folders:
    • C:Program FilesYahoo!MessengercacheAvatars
    • C:Program FilesYahoo!MessengecacheIcon
  4. Highlight the files in the above folders and press the Delete key on your keyboard.
  5. Sign in to Yahoo! Messenger and you should be all set.

Note: Make sure you have the Macromedia Flash Player installed. (Please use Internet Explorer to install the player.)
