Can I use an image for my page background?

Yes, you can have an image as your background. Remember, since the image will tile, you can use a small image and it will fill up the page. Using smaller images is recommended so that your page will load faster.

To have an image as your background, add the BACKGROUND attribute to our BODY tag, like so:

<body background="image.jpg">

Then replace "image.jpg" with your image file name.

Note: To resize your image, you'll need to use an image editing program. Additionally, if your image is a bitmap (.bmp), you must convert this image to either a .jpg or .gif format to view this image on your page. To convert the file, use an image editing program, such as PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro (if you simply change the file extension to ".gif" or ".jpg," our servers will deny it). If you'd like, you can download a trial version of Paint Shop Pro.
