Currently, Yahoo! PageWizards is compatible only with Windows operating systems. The minimum system requirements for PageWizards are:
- Windows 98, ME, XP, NT, or 2000
- 133MHz processor
- 32MB memory
- 28.8KB modem
- 3.0 browser with Java enabled
If you're not sure which browser you have, click your browser's "Help" menu and choose "About..." In the pop-up window that appears, you'll see your browser's name followed by the version number.
We encourage you to use Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. You can download the latest versions of these browsers at Netscape and Microsoft.
Additionally, please ensure that Java is enabled on your browser. To do so, follow these steps:
Netscape 3.x for Windows
- Select "Options" from your menu bar, and choose "Network Preferences."
- Click on the "Languages" tab.
- Make sure that both "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript" are checked.
Netscape 4.x, 6.x, or 7.x for Windows
- Select "Edit" from your menu bar and choose "Preferences..."
- Choose the "Advanced" category.
- Make sure that both "Enable Java" and/or "Enable JavaScript" are checked.
Internet Explorer 3.x for Windows
- Select "View" from your menu bar and choose "Options."
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- At the bottom of the page, make sure all the boxes in the Active Content area are checked. Note: You might also want to click the "Safety Level" button, and select "Medium" to prevent warning message interruptions.
Internet Explorer 4.x for Windows
- Select "View" from your menu bar and choose "Internet Options."
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- For the Internet Zone, select "Custom" and click on "Settings."
- Scroll to the bottom of the Custom Settings list, and under Scripting, set "Active scripting and Scripting of Java Applets" to either "Enable" or "Prompt."
Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x for Windows
- Select "Tools" from your menu bar and choose "Internet Options..."
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- For the Internet Zone, be sure that the security level is set to "Medium" or below. (If you have chosen to customize your security settings for the Internet Zone, be sure that under the Java heading, "Java permissions" is not set to "Disable Java." Select one of the three safety levels instead. Also make sure that under Scripting, "Scripting of Java Applets" is set to "Enable" or "Prompt.")
