Why would I want Yahoo! Bookmarks to save a copy of the page I bookmark?

Saving a copy of a web page saves the information or content of the page you want.

Saving a link to a web page or "bookmarking" the page keeps track of the web address (URL) of a given page.

Saving both a copy of the page and its web address to Yahoo! Bookmarks is helpful if original page is not accessible.

Please note that the Yahoo! Bookmarks page saver has the following limitation:

  • Yahoo! Bookmarks saves a copy of the page text and HTML code. All graphics, Flash animations, CSS, JavaScript, and other non-HTML components are not saved by Yahoo! Bookmarks but will continue to be displayed as long as the original site does not move or delete them. If you must preserve the complete page, we recommend saving it to your hard drive.
