Can I block HTML graphic images?

The Block HTML Graphics feature can be enabled from the Mail Options menu:

  1. Sign in directly to your Business Email mailbox at http://mail.yourdomain.com/ (be sure to replace "yourdomain" with your domain name).
  2. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password, if prompted.
  3. Click the "Mail Options" link, located in the upper-right corner of the page.
  4. Click the "General Preferences" link.
  5. Scroll to the Messages section and check the box next to "Block HTML graphics in email messages from being downloaded."

If you open a message that contains HTML graphics, a footer will be appended to the message frame containing this message: "The HTML graphics in this message have been displayed. [Edit Preferences - What's This?\" "Edit Preferences" will link to the General Preferences page, where you may check the box next the block feature. The "What's This?" link will launch a kiosk containing information about the Block HTML Graphics feature.

When the Block HTML Graphics feature is enabled, the footer will display: "The HTML graphics in this message have been blocked. [Show HTML Graphics - Edit Preferences\." The "Show HTML Graphics" link will display the graphics for the message currently being viewed only. Your preferences will not be changed until you manually choose to do so by repeating the above steps to enable graphics blocking. The "Edit Preferences" link is a shortcut to this page.
