| What Is the Web Filter? | Changing Restriction Levels | Allowing and Blocking Sites |
The Web Filter is the component of Parental Controls that lets you restrict what web sites your children are allowed to view. With the Web Filter, you can identify types of sites that are inappropriate for a child, such as those containing violence or pornography. You can also identify specific sites that you do or don’t want your child to view.
Default Web Filter settings are associated with each age-based Parental Controls access level. You can easily view and customise these default settings for all access levels except Full Access.
Tip: Before you try to view or change Web Filter settings, be sure that you’re signed in as the primary account for your household’s BT Yahoo! account. Only the primary account can access Parental Controls settings. The person whose Web Filter settings you want to customise must have an access level other than Full Access.
Note: For important information about using Parental Controls with Microsoft Windows Vista™, see BT Yahoo! Help.
