Working With Voice Messaging & Call History

Introducing the Voice Messages Window Setting Voice Message Preferences Listening to Your Voice Messages Managing Your Voice Messages

Listening to Your Voice Messages

When you miss or decline a PC-to-PC call in BT Yahoo! Messenger, the caller has the option of leaving a voice message up to two minutes long. You’ll know that you have new voice messages if you see the burst next to the voice message button near the top of the Contact Search bar.

The burst next to the voice message button indicates that you have new messages.

You can listen to voice messages at your convenience. Messenger doesn’t remove them until you decide to delete them.

Here’s How

  1. To access your voice messages, click the voice message button near the top of the Contact Search bar.

Click the voice message button to go to your new messages.

The Voice Messages & Call History window opens, with the Voice Messages option selected on the left and the most recent voice message selected on the right.

Words to Know

  • PC-to-PC calling: the ability to call another person’s computer from your computer; similar to placing a phone call. Both you and the person you are calling must have a Yahoo! ID and be logged into Yahoo! Messenger.
  • Voicemail: a message left in the caller’s own voice for the intended recipient to listen to later.
