Writing Your Message

Your email message includes the message text and an optional subject. The subject provides a short description about the message. Although the subject is optional, including it lets someone receiving your message know right away what it’s about.

Here’s How

  1. In the Subject field of the Compose page, enter the purpose of your message (optional).

Enter the topic of your message in the Subject field.

  2. In the text box under the Formatting tools, enter the text of your message.

Enter the text of your message.

Tip: Write as much as you like; the text field won’t limit your composition. It expands and scrolls, so you can write that novella you’ve been anxious to share.

What’s Next

You can use the formatting tools above the input box (shown in step 2) to personalise your message with different fonts and colours.
