Accessing BT Yahoo! Mail Classic

Using a Web Browser Using the BT Yahoo! Browser Using the BT Yahoo! Toolbar Using an Email Program Forwarding Mail

Accessing Your Mail From a Web Browser

BT Yahoo! Mail is web-based email. This means that your BT Yahoo! Mail account is actually a web site residing on a BT Yahoo! Mail server. With your BT Username, you can access and send BT Yahoo! Mail messages using a web-based BT Yahoo! Mail client from any computer with an Internet connection and a web browser.

Use the URL http://bt.yahoo.com/mail to communicate with the BT Yahoo! Mail server from a web-based mail client.

When you use a web-based mail client, your email is stored in your mailbox on a BT Yahoo! Mail server. None of the messages that you send or receive are stored on your local computer. The browser interface allows you to read, forward, organise, and delete email messages that are stored in your mailbox. It also lets you send email messages using your BT Yahoo! Mail account.

Here’s How

  1. Make sure that the computer you are using is connected to the Internet.

  2. Launch a web browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.

  3. Enter the following address in the browser’s address field and press Enter:

    http://bt.yahoo.com/mail

The Yahoo! Mail sign in page appears in the browser.

  4. To sign in to your BT Yahoo! account, enter your BT Username (for example, username@btinternet.com) and password, then click the Sign In button.

Enter your BT Username and password on the BT Yahoo! Mail welcome page.

Your personal BT Yahoo! Mail Welcome page now appears in the browser.
