Viewing Your Browsing History

If you want to return to a web site you visited in the current browsing session (that is, since the last time you opened the BT Yahoo! Browser), simply click the down arrow on the Back button and select the web page to which you want to return.

You can also return to a web site that you visited prior to the current browsing session using the History Sidebar module.

The History Sidebar module has two views:

  • Collapsed as a mini-module

    The History mini-module

    The History mini-module appears as a button that you can click to make History the active module.

  • Expanded as the active module

    The active History module

When History is the active Sidebar module, it displays your browsing history, and you can return to any web site listed.

 

Here's How

  1. Open the Browser, sign in to BT Yahoo! Online, and make sure that the Sidebar is open.

  2. If the History Sidebar module is displayed as a mini-module, click it to make it the active module.

  3. Click Today or one of the dates listed to see a list of web sites you visited that day or week. Alternatively, you can click view at the top of the History Sidebar module and select the order in which you want to view your browsing history.

  4. Click any URL listed to go to that web site.

  5. To view a specific page that you visited on a web site, click the expand arrow to the left of the web site you want to expand.

    The web site expands to display the individual web pages you visited on that site. You can click any of the individual web page links to go to that page.

 

What's Next

You can clear your browsing history to eliminate the record of web pages you have visited.

  • Mini-module: an application module that can be displayed in the BT Yahoo! Sidebar.
  • Module: a small version of a BT Yahoo! Online service that can be displayed in the active content area of the BT Yahoo! Sidebar.
  • Sidebar: a customisable area in the BT Yahoo! Browser or Internet Explorer where you can display information or applications that you use often, such as BT Yahoo! MailBT Yahoo! Messenger, and BT Yahoo! Photos.
  • URL: Universal Resource Locator – specifies the location of a file or web page, such as http://bt.yahoo.com.
