Using the Address Book Sidebar Module

Importing Contacts

You can import contacts from other applications to your BT Yahoo! Address Book using the Address Book Sidebar module.

Here's How

Make sure your Address Book is the active module.
Click the >> button on the Address Book Sidebar module, and select Import Address Book from the option menu.

The Import and Export page of the BT Yahoo! Address Book application appears.
Select the program from which you want to import a contact list.
Export the contact list from your selected program, and then return to the Import and Export page.

Tip: For help on exporting contacts from another program, click the link on the right side of the page.
Click the Browse button, find the file containing the exported contact data, and select it.
Click the Import Now button.

The imported contacts appear in your Address Book Sidebar module.

Use your Address Book Sidebar module while browsing the Internet.

Active module: the module currently displayed in the active content area of the BT Yahoo! Sidebar.
Address Book: a listing of people and their contact information associated with each BT Yahoo! Online account.
Contact: a person you know and might want to send an email message or other form of communication to.
Import: to receive data into one program from another.
