Using BT Yahoo! Mail stationery with your messages lets you set a background and font with one click. Choose from a wide variety of predefined background patterns and colors. Use the default font type and color that come with each background or change the text formatting to something you like better.
Begin composing a message. (Remind me how.)
Be sure that rich text is on. (Remind me how.)
Click the Stationery button to open the stationery chooser panel on the right side of the window (if it isn’t already open).

The stationery chooser opens to the right of the box for composing your message, displaying a scrollable list of some of the many background designs you can choose from.
To see a different set of designs, click the menu at the top of the stationery panel and select a category, such as Nature or Fun, from the menu.

When you find a design you like, try it out by selecting it in the stationery chooser.

Your message now has the background you selected and the predefined text formatting that goes with that background.
Don’t like what you see? Then repeat steps 4 and 5 to try a different stationery.
If the default font that comes with your selected stationery doesn’t suit you, you can change it using the text formatting tools. (See Formatting Message Text for more about these tools.)
When you’re satisfied with the look and finished composing your message, click the Send button.

People receiving your message will see your great stationery (provided that they read it in a browser or email program that supports rich text).
This means that once you apply a design to a message (with or without additional text formatting) and send it, that message’s format becomes your default format for all new message until you either change the stationery or you switch to using plain text. So go ahead and express your personality with stationery!
