Working With Messages in the Drafts Folder

As you learned in the previous task, you can save an email message in draft form in the Drafts folder. Later, you can work with the message and continue saving it as a draft in the Drafts folder until you’re ready to send it.

Tip: Each time you revise and save a message in the Drafts folder, or each time a message autosaves, the newer version overwrites the previous version.

Here’s How

  1. Click Drafts in the left navigation bar.

    Click the Drafts folder.

    The Drafts folder opens.

  2. Double-click the draft you want to open.

Double-click the draft you want to open.

The draft message opens in a new message tab.

  3. Review and revise the message, as desired.

  4. When you’re ready to send the message, click the Send button (or type Ctrl+Enter).

    Click the Send button.

What’s Next

You can save copies of email messages that you send to people, and then work with them in the Sent folder.
