Getting Started With BT Yahoo! Contacts

Here’s How

1. Click the Add link next to Contacts in the left navigation bar.

   

   The Add Contact window opens.

   Tip: If you already have the Contacts tab open, you can click the Add Contact button to begin adding a new contact.
   
   
   
   This opens the contact information page described in Editing a Contact.

2. Enter information about the new contact in this window, then click the Save button.

   

   Tip: You must type at least one piece of information in this window to create a contact. What information you provide is up to you.

3. If all the information you provide is new, BT Yahoo! Contacts confirms that it has created the new contact. Click OK to continue.

   

4. If you provided information for the new contact that duplicates information already in your BT Yahoo! Contacts, you’ll see the Duplicate Chat ID Found window.

   

   Click the Update Contact information button to update the existing contact with the information you just entered or click Cancel to exit without changing the contact.

What’s Next

After adding a contact to BT Yahoo! Contacts, you can edit the contact record to add more information or update information that changes.

You can also import contacts from the following sources: Hotmail, AOL, Gmail, Comcast, Yahoo!, Cox, Earthlink, MSN, Netscape, Netzero, Juno, CS, Optonline, and Worldnet.att.net.
