Your email message includes the subject line and message text. Although the subject is optional, writing one lets the recipients know right away what the message is about.
Of course, you can use any standard keyboard editing shortcuts, like Ctrl+c to copy or Ctrl+v to paste, or any right-button editing commands, while you’re composing your message. You can even select text and drag-and-drop it to a different location within the message.
In the Subject box of the new message tab, type the subject of your message (optional but encouraged).

In the input area under the Subject box, type your message using the formatting tools as you like to enhance the text.
Don’t see the formatting toolbar? If you don’t see the toolbar, you have plain text enabled (or your browser or operating system may not support rich text). Click the Rich Text link found to the right of the Subject box to turn rich text on and to display the formatting toolbar.

For more on using the formatting tools and stationery, see the Personalising Your Messages tutorial.
If you want to check your spelling before you send the message, click the Spelling button on the message tab’s toolbar.

You can even select the language to use for spell checking from the Spelling button’s pull-down menu.

Just follow the on-screen directions for correcting or ignoring any problems that the spell checker finds.
Every so often while you’re composing a message, BT Yahoo! Mail automatically saves a draft of it for you in the Drafts folder. For more detail about drafts and autosave, see the Working With Drafts and Sent Messages tutorial.
If you like, attach a file to your message.
