How does geo-targeting work?

For each campaign you create, you have three options for geo-targeting your ads: throughout the entire market; to individual states or provinces/territories within your market; or to one or more cities and their surrounding areas within a state or province/territory (Please note that some city and surrounding area selections do span more than one state line). Your ads will be displayed to users within the targeted regions you select, as well as to users located outside the targeted region but who show interest in your targeted regions. For example, if you are a realtor located in California and choose to geo-target your campaign to the state of California, your ads will be displayed to prospective customers within the state, as well as to users outside the state who enter searches such as “California real estate”.
