Understanding the Account Daily Spending Limit

The account daily spending limit is one way to help you control your spending. You may want to set an account daily spending limit if you are unsure about how much overall traffic your campaigns might generate or if you are concerned about overspending.

Total account spending per day is calculated based on all campaign spending in the account.

You can increase or decrease your account daily spending limit at any time:

• If the accrued daily spend, across all of your campaigns, reaches or exceeds your account daily spending limit, your account gets turned Off.
• If your account has been turned Off because your daily limit has been reached, and you set your account daily spending limit to an amount that is higher than the current accrued daily spend, your account is turned back On immediately, and your ads resume being displayed.
• If you set your account daily spending limit to an amount that is lower than the current accrued daily spend, your account remains Off.
• If your account is currently On, and you set your account daily spending limit to an amount that is lower than the current accrued daily spend, your account is turned Off.
• If you set your account daily spending limit to an amount that is higher than the current accrued daily spend, your account remains On.
• If you specifically turn your account Off, it is not turned back On automatically. You can turn it back On by clicking the Accounts tab in the Account General Information area.

To help you avoid reaching the account daily spending limit and having your campaigns halted for the remainder of that day, your ad display may slow as the limit is approached.

Setting an Account Daily Spending Limit

To set an account daily spending limit:

1. Click the Administration tab, then click the Accounts subtab.
• If you have one account, the Account Summary page opens.
• If you have more than one account, identify the account to edit and click the Account link. The Account Summary page opens.
2. Click Edit in the Account Daily Spending Limit panel. The Account Daily Spending Limit page opens.
3. Enter an Account Daily Spending Limit.
4. View the Estimated Monthly Spending Limit, which is calculated based on the account daily spending limit, multiplied by 30 days.
5. Click Save Changes
