What about recurring events?

Recurring events allow you to easily set up many events in a single definition.

A great example is birthdays: When you add someone's birthday to Yahoo! Calendar, set it to repeat each year by selecting the "Repeat" radio button, "Every" in the first drop-down box and "Year" in the second drop-down box.

Then, with one definition, you've added a birthday event to every year. Also use recurring events for repeating class schedules, weekly or montly meetings and even your favourite TV shows. Here is a description of the options:

  • "Do Not Repeat This Event" is the default and makes the event non-recurring.
  • "Repeat" allows you to make an event repeat from every day to every fourth day, week, month, year or on a certain day of the week.
  • "Repeat on the" allows you to repeat an event during a certain week each month.
  • "Repeat Always" causes a repeat event to go on indefinitely.
  • "Repeat Until" allows you to specify an end date. For example, if you are putting your class schedule into Yahoo! Calendar, specify the end of the semester or school year as the end date.
