More and more leagues are going to a long-term dynasty format where you keep your entire team from year to year. This format requires planning for the future. It is hard to draft and hold minor league prospects while still fielding a complete lineup everyday when the roster size is limited to 30 and without a minor league roster option.

These options are available on CBS and ESPN fantasy baseball. Our league wants to remain with Yahoo but we really crave these added features!

I play fantasy football, basketball and baseball every year on yahoo, but I would love to see them offer true college football and college basketball fantasy game. (Not the stupid pick em games. That's boring.) I've seen other site do them (CBS sports did a fantasy college football one for a few years). The two sports are of course hugely popular.

I would also love to see a fantasy tennis offering. You do NASCAR and golf, and tennis is far more entertaining than either. Fantasytennistour.com offers a good one for some ideas for yahoo.

Let them be able to make it look like a News paper front page by adding pictures and notes. Also the commish should be able to give awards to managers where they can display banners. CBS does this> I really like the idea of being able to look at past years winners more easily lke that. Have it where a commish can give a award for winning there division for example or most wins for the season.

Fantasy Sports?]]> When someone joins a league make their email default visible not default hidden.  If they want to opt out and hide their email let them change that on their own.  This makes it very hard for inviting people back the following year, and to other leagues when they have a hidden email.  Most of these owners get lost forever because of this.

However, if you need to send a second (reminder) invite, if the manager had his email hidden, you as a commish cannot send out that second invite without a valid email entered into the invite box.

I run a keeper football league going into its 4th year. I have one lone manager yet to sign on for 2012. His email has been hidden every year. It has been over 2 weeks since I renewed league and sent out invites. I have no way of contacting him with a follow up invite reminder.

Sometimes this becomes necessary in more advanced and structed leagues to correct problems or accidental mistakes. Just makes no sense to have it in football and not have it in your other fantasy sports.

Right now, it just shows you total stats for you to compare against other teams for the season. If I make a big trade or some roster add/drops throughout the season, I'd like to be able to see how these changes may have helped or hurt me in various categories in comparison to other teams by filtering by different date ranges. Right now, I have to try to determine this impact manually by comparing on a week-by-week matchup basis for all teams.

That would enable the use of sort for stats like ERA, or K's without clogging up the results with hundreds of bench players, NA players or specialty relief pitchers that are not real contenders for roster spots. 

Right now its impossible to use several stats for free agent searches due to the inability to screen out these fringe players.

I currently use a blog to do this but it requires our league participants to visit multiple pages. This would keep our members on the Yahoo site longer. I like the idea of the front page having the look of a sports page, as other posters have suggested.

I would also like to see a few scoring categories added such as Men Left on Base or Avg./w RISP. It would help define clutch hitting.

In fact I got so frustrated at one point that I set up my own league on a public forum a while back.  It would be so easy to set one up Yahoo. Just do the same thing as football and list games each week featuring the top 25 or other high-profile games. Also someone else mentioned a fantasy league revolving around college basketball and football stats. If you could make that happen I would be forever grateful.

The forums get clogged doing trade negotiations and it takes too long in some cases. Chatting like the sidebar in Yahoo Mail would be a great addition and get managers more involved and make for more intense negotiations. I would prefer the chat option like with the drafts but I can see how that may be a bit much. Plus work may have the java blocked so I couldnt properly manage my team lol.

Fantasy Sports?]]> I'm the commish of a 16 team keeper league (one more keeper each year, started with 5, keeping 7 going into next year), which is split into 4 divisions. my question is, why isn't there an option to group these divisions into 2 leagues? they are split into leagues now, but by name only (NL north and south, AL north and south). we (and many other leagues, i'm sure) want a "league" option so we can keep the 2 leagues seperate in the playoffs until the championsip, and so that the 2 wildcard teams will come from opposing leagues. we have 6 teams making the playoffs (4 division winners plus 2 wildcard), but those 2 WC teams can come from any division, whether it be the same league or even the same division.

 

PLEASE ADD A LEAGUE OPTION TO GO ALONG WITH THE DIVISION OPTION
