I picked my players from the list on Wednesday and then on Thursday the have NE next to the name, why are they on the list if they aren't playing in the tournament that week?

Hi Susan,

Thank you for posting your question!

Typically, most players drop out of the tournament prior to the day it starts. These players are removed from the list as updates are made available. Yahoo! makes every attempt to keep the lists updated, but it is dependent on PGA official announcements. However, some players will choose to wait until just before the tournament, or even just before their tee time to notify the PGA they are not participating.

The PGA determines that any player that withdraws from the tournament prior to their tee time are considered NE or 'Not Entered'.

This can lead to situations where the tournament has already started, but a player withdraws and there is no longer a player list to update with the status change. Even then, since golfer selection closes by 1:59am PT each Thursday (unless otherwise noted) prior to the tournament, the only place we can update the golfer status is on your foursome/bench on the day of the tournament. I hope this helps!
