If someone gives a good answer to your question, it is important to mark the best answers as either "Helpful" or "Solution".  Here's how it works:

First of all, when you are creating a new topic there is a dropdown menu where you can pick the Post Type. You should leave this set to Question if you are looking for answers!

If you find an answer that helps, be sure to mark it "Helpful". If the answer resolves your question or concern, you can mark it "Solved" by selecting "Solution". The person who provided the answer earns points when you do!

True...points are very cool.  But there's more to it than that.  When you mark a good answer as Helpful or as a Solution, you show appreciation to the people who took the time to help you.  You are also helping everyone else in the community, because they will now see your topic as "Solved" in the forums with a green "check" icon next to it.  If someone else has a similar question to yours, they might see your solution and be helped by it too!
