It is important for every visitor to have a fun and positive experience while using Yahoo! Games.
Be assured the Yahoo! Abuse Team will review every report and take the appropriate action against users who violate the Yahoo! Terms of Service (TOS) and/or Privacy Policy.
If a particular user is severely abusing a game, you should report them to Yahoo! Customer Care.
There are also several ways you can shield yourself from abuse.
If you choose to enable the Profanity Filter, profane words will be replaced with an "@" symbol in the chat area. To enable this feature, go into a game lobby and click "Options."
Under the heading "Profanity Filter," you can choose the strength of the filter--"none," "weak," or "strong."
"None" means no profanity filter.
"Weak" catches common profane words.
"Strong" also catches clever use of dashes and underscores between letters that would normally be missed by a filter.
If you continue to be bothered by other players, you may block their chat indefinitely. To ignore a player, double-click their name in the list of players. A new window will open, showing information about this player. At the bottom of the window is a checkbox labeled "Ignore." Check this box, and you will no longer receive chat messages from that player.
You can also block invitations. If receiving too many invites is becoming a nuisance, you have the option to block invitations from popping up on your screen. You can choose either of these features by checking the boxes next to these options in the game room where you select a table to play at.
Happy Gaming!
