Hello all,
In order to create a more flexible platform on which we can deliver even more great titles, we are revising the play pages for our games and will remove 8 lower rung games out of over 1000 available games. We're scheduled for this week, I'll update this announcement as soon as the change is ready to go.
Classic, popular parlor titles such as Hearts, Euchre, and Chess, won't be affected. They'll continue to live on their original pages. Download, Flash and most Web games will get some minor page layout updates. A very small number of Web games (listed below) *will* be affected and will no longer be available. This includes older, less popular versions of Backgammon, Klondike Solitaire and FreeCell Solitaire (modern version: Free Cell (Skill)), but of course we already have newer versions of those games available for you.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know in the Help Community Forums thread on this topic, and we will do our best to address them. Do you know a game to suggest to your fellow Y! Gamers that could take the place of one of the deleted games? Any suggestions are appreciated!

I can not get free games to load ....have done all the things on your help page and no go...nothing else has been affected..still have my email and facebook and yahoo home page...very frustrating...this started last week...

I am having the same problem. I tried to play Gov. of Poker and Golf it will act like it is going to load. But, the little wheel just keeps turning.

Having the same problem. Hate the new look, missing many favorite games and they are hard to find in this setup.

I cannot load yahoo chess with windows 8. The message keeps saying I have an old version; clear the cache, or delete browsing history; then close and re-start the browser. All to no avail.

I have been trying for two days to access the free version of Jewel Quest, with no luck. I've left the computer "downloading" for a couple of hours, and the screen just sits there. This is very frustrating. If it isn't resolved soon, I will go elsewhere to play games.

Any way to get the Yahoo Crossword puzzle to load as a crossword puzzle and not cribbage? That one went away a couple of years ago and now has come back as the cribbage game. Since you got the Crosswords with Hints fixed, thought you might be able to do something with this one too. Thanks for anything you can do.

The same thing is happening to the Freddy's Fishing Fun game. It will not load and the a wheel keeps on spinning. I hope it is fixed as soon as possible.

Yahoo Free Games has not worked for days now. I downloaded new version of Java to see if that was the problem and no go. Also, used your help to check Active Scripting and all is as it should be. When will the problem be fixed for the free games?????

I'm having the same problem. I have not been able to play games for a week!
The wheel turns, and turns, and turns.
The "new pages" are the same games. What was the point?
