I have the same problem with the free games - the ads block some of the gameboard, so you can't play. When I used Ad block plus (free download from Mozilla), it removed the ads, but also removed the game!

  

I have found if you choose options before setting up your table and making the window small the ads do not appear.  It has just started that if you don't do this you cannot set up a table at all.  The ads keep coming back and trying to load a table and coming back again.  I then get a message to shut off my pop up blocker...MY POP UP BLOCKER IS OFF.  I then go out change the options to Little/Small Windows and I just go directly into a room.  There is a problem with the Ads in Spads

  

 Well appaently there are work arounds which are preventing me from playing because other players are impatient.  For example I created a euchre table, and was therefore the first one there.  I could not access any of the table buttons, for example the sit button, while the ad was playing.  While I was waiting for the ad to finish 4 other players joined and managed to start the game.  How is it they could do that and I could not?  Whenever I join a table I get booted for not clicking "start game" before the ad is over.  Your ads are preventing me from playing at all, so something is broken.  Please fix it.
