when i'm going thru news stories with videos, they stutter with a static site from facebook flashing along bottom of page.If i block this with security then I can't access facebook homepage. What can I do to help this?
thats exactly what i want to know too. the same thing happens to me. it keeps flashing along the bottom. i mananged to catch "waiting for java script", but all that is ok, on my computer and up to date. i cant read what else it is flashing. its annoying. when i try to type a comment it skips letters as i type because of the flashing, and i have to keep backspacing to add the letter that it missed. please help.
This is happening to me as well (there's another post on this board about it re: flashing URL). Whenever I click on a Yahoo! News link, this URL begins flashing in my lower left browser: window: http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect/xd_proxy.php This triggers multiple unwanted new browser tabs opening, with about:blank in the URL address field. The only way I can stop this is a forced shutdown. I am on a PC running Windows 7 using Internet Explorer 8. My malware and virus scans say no objects found. Help?
And clicking the "X" button (the one next to the reload, not the window close button) which is supposed to stop active content from running DOES NOT WORK in IE 8. (When I click that button, all scripts should halt and all pending loads should be abandoned.)
