We have a race team of 12 people on it and 9 out of the 12 had Sam Hornish Jr on it and I found out that 8 of us where going to run him but switched to the other driver because he was listed as NE because Parker Kligerman qualified the car. Sam Hornish scored more points than the other drivers some of us had picked when we were going to run him but switched. If Sam Hornish Jr stayed listed as NE then his points should not be allowed and should be taken away from anyone who used him in there starting roster. Its NOT FAIR to the people that pay attention to there rosters all the way up to race time and for the people that did not switch him to there other driver and scored the points thats really not fair to the other people in our group. Yahoo needs to go by how they list it and stick to it not fix it to score the points.
I agree. The Yahoo team needs to stick with it one way or the other.
The status for Hornish was NE, which prompted a message stating players who started Hornish would not earn any points.
If that's the case, and points are given out to those that started Hornish, even though all messages and status showed players would not be given points, then Yahoo really needs to take a step back and re-think how they're running this.
This can't be "one" of those "grey" areas that gets swept under the carpet. Teams take this seriously and I cannot believe how complacent Yahoo is treating this. If the driver is listed as NE and is taken out of a given roster by listing him as "Not Entered", those people playing depend on that being the "rule", and tweek their teams accordingly. I don't know where this "error" occured, but I believe YAHOO should be held responsible and uphold the BLACK AND WHITE, and points should NOT BE ALLOWED to those people that didn't pay attention to the supposed change of events. It should NOT be up to us as players to "assume" they made an error. Why and how could we ever assume that it is an error, and "presume" that we will get points anyway?? SIMPLE, DRIVER IS LISTED AS "N.E". THEN NO POINTS WILL BE EARNED. Why are we supposed to be mind readers and do the thinking for YAHOO SPORTS?? Players and teams should be able to "trust" the postings that Yahoo presents, especially due to the fact that YAHOO presents themselves as the "Final" judge, jury and rulemaker. This time a HUGE ERROR, and the right thing to do is follow through and stick with the decision they made
YAHOO SPORTS states their "rules" We have to obey to play! How then can YAHOO put someone in charge of the Racing that doesn't know what is going on. Its apparent and does not take a rocket scientist to know Penske hired Hornish to run these races and to list him as NE is pathetic at best! Its not an OOPS moment. It changes direction for all of us that work hard to manage our teams and did significient damage yesterday in the scoring part of the Fantasy program. Those of us that watch our teams closely noticed the roster listed him as NE and took him out as we were also advised that NO POINTS would be scored for him this week. WHEN HOWEVER, POINTS WERE AWARDED to teams that took him and the NE was ignored. This is a mistake that should not be allowed at all. ALL POINTS should be taken away from anyone that scored points using SAM HORNISH, and apology should be written by YAHOO SPORTS, and people running this "rule segment" of the fantasy groups should be someone that doesn't mind working on a Sunday and clearly knows "more" about the programs than mere "button pushing"!
Absolutely the points should be deleted for Hornish OR give the points to anyone who had him benched in fear of getting NO points for the NE on Hornish I moved him to the Bench
This has had a MAJOR impact on our standings in our league and it is SAD that the programers for YAHOO cant fix this issue and credit the correct points... one person in our league FORGOT to change from last week and gets 78 points for Hornish when his other C driver was a real NE Vickers who did not run at all and he gets more points than me that is crap!!
this is really crappy because this GLITCH has cost me the LEAD in two of the groups I am in!
if we bombard YAHOO with complaints maybe they will do the RIGHT thing and not take the EASY way out with an aploogy that means NOTHING to us who were affected!
