 I haven't used my yahoo games in over 3 years and when I tried to log in tonight to play a game every room I went into said I was banned from that room until dec. 31 2020. Anyone have any idea why it would be doing this?

I can't get on any games either.  I am banned until 2020 too.  I have been playing regularily for years though.  We must not be the only ones as I saw that most of the rooms are emptier than usual.

Hi Folks,

We've been hearing from a few folks having this issue, and our Engineers are taking a look at it. What would help us a lot would be if you could capture a screenshot of the banning error that we can take a look at. Please take a look at these steps for saving a screenshot, and then post a link here so we can investigate further.

I have been getting the same message. It's just a long grey bar that pops up with the December 2020 message.

I have encountered this problem several times it the past weeks, usually at my uk time of 8am when I play for a while before commencing my days chores.

I like many others have become a victim of a prankster who thinks it is funny to log in a lot of provisional nicknames which are bots which they have deceided is funny to kick and ban people from the games. I do not know how they are doing it or why they are penalising those of us who just go to the games for a little social time before work or entering the hum drum of daily life.

I think Yahoo did great getting rid of all the stupid sex advertising bots and now we get to put up with the this.

I am sure Yahoo are going to try and fix it and wish them good luck but please hurry!

I am getting a message that says YOU HAVE BEEN BARRED FROM LOGGING INTO THIS ROOM UNTIL FRI. MAY 25 21: 40: PDT 2012   What the heck is that? It is Saturday, May 26 1:02 AM already past the date on that message. I hate this I am trying to get into Literati. FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT

I am still banned till 2020.  Does yahoo even have an actual ban that goes into effect for that long?  When I try to create a new alias it says oops our server is busy please try again later. Neither my actual id or my alias id will log into games now.  Both are banned until dec 31 2020 11:59 pst.  So I will be two hours into 2021 until I can play another Yahoo game.  Too funny.

Usually that happens when you scroll the lobby too fast with a series of space bars or dots trying to clear garbage posts in the lobby. When you do that you are perceived to be a robot spammer by Yahoo! and that will get you barred till Dec 2020. I other words you just lost your account.

So call Yahoo! at 1-408-349-1572 and listen carefully to the automated response and choose the "for Password or Yahoo account related concerns" and explain to the representative what happened prior to you getting barred till Dec 2020 and hope they will unban your account.

If they don't unban it then only thing left to do is create a new account. It must be a completely new account. An alias to you main account will not work since it it the same account for which you can have up to 6 different names.

This happened to me twice today, and it's happened before.  I think it's a hacker in the room booting people.  I have screen shots.

 I've been banned from all yahoo multiplayer games, until dec 1 2020 for more than 3 years now, I've tried every possible way to contact Yahoo customer care but they have yet to be helpful; they keep refering me to the same dumb support page that does not have multiplayer games on their list.....

I hope they fix this problem soon!
