Don't know where else to point this out, since none of the "help" links are working.

Hello Elaine,

Glad you already know about the pop-up blocker. When you say it "kicks Internet explorer out" do you mean your browser shuts down? Or you're not getting access to a lounge?

Any details you can provide may be helpful:

- What room? (name and URL)
- What action did you take just before encountering the problem?
- Date and time that you encountered the problem? (Please include time zone)
    Specifically reports after late afternoon 4/24 PST
- Text of any error message that you received?
- Your computer OS and version (Windows 7? Mac OS X v10.5?)
- Your browser and version?
- Please do not post any personal or account information in the forums

I'll take your reports directly to the team working to fix the issues. I appreciate your help in solving this and your patience while we do.

Take care,

AdamW

Hello Becky,

You're in the right place to report a problem! Thanks for taking the time to do so. I saw your other report regarding the ads/specific ads. Can you give me any more detail about what happens when the page freezes?

* Does the ad start?
* Is there any audio?
* Do you get any error messages?

I'll point you to our basic troubleshooting article Game won't load and the info about turning off the pop-up blocker, in case either of those are useful to you while we look into it on our end.

Thanks for your patience,

AdamW

I have the same problem in Yahoo games. Internet Explorer will stop working.  I've done extensive troubleshooting of this and it is 100% caused by the AD Choices video ad that plays on the side of the games main screen or on the side of the specific game being played.

In my case it has been a hair products ad.  After the ad runs for either 15 or 30 seconds I assume it should move to another ad but it does not.  The flash player goes white and IE crashes.  If I pause the ad so it doesn't have the chance to fail, no problems.

If when I connect to Yahoo Games I get one of the non video ads (such as Evony or Cici's Pizza), there is not an issue.  It is only video ads that cause the problem.  This started about three days ago.  It is not a problem with my system, pop ups or anything of that sort.  It is Yahoo's problem.  Please fix it.

I have also noticed that many ads on yahoo! games cause my browser to crash.  Specifically, the Head and Shoulders ad and the Febreeze ad.  If I notice the ad comes on and press pause in time, it prevents the browser from crashing, but sometimes the ad changes and you didn't notice that it changed to one of the ads that causes the browser to crash. The ads do start, there is no audio by default (but I think there is a mute button).  Neither of those threads that you posted solve the problem.  I also found a forum in Yahoo! Chess that sounds like other users are having this problem as well, and some of the users have noticed that the ads are to blame.

To be more specific, I am experiencing this problem from games.yahoo.com or games.yahoo.com/*

I have noticed that these ads have "AdChoices" in the top right corner of the ad. It is using Flash, and I have Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.235.

There is also a Gain ad that does the same thing.

Like Bruce, after many crashes, I finally discovered that if I pause the video ad, I can continue my game without crashing. This is also a new problem for me. I'm running IE9, if that makes a difference.
