What Are Apps?
An App is a button on your Toolbar that lets you link to and, in many cases, preview a Web page. The Apps on your Toolbar are similar to links in your browser’s Favorites or Bookmarks; clicking the button opens the associated Web page. The bonus is that many Apps let you preview the Web page to check for information without leaving the Web page you’re currently viewing.
Let’s say you’re planning a walking holiday. While browsing through a trekking site, you want to check the weather in various areas. All you have to do is click the Weather App. It opens in a small window where you can check the weather in different locations, all while the trekking site remains in view. It’s that simple.
