Editing an Event Deleting Events

Editing an Event

You have several options when editing an event.

Here’s How

  1. To change the date, drag the event to its new date and time.

Drag the event to a new date.

Where you can move an event depends on your view.

    • In Day view, you can move an event to a new time, and the date remains the same.
    • In Week view, you can move an event to a new date and time within the displayed week.
    • In Month view, you can drag an event to a new date within the month, and the time remains the same. If you want to drag it to a new time within a day, click the event to open it, then drag it to a new time.
    • In Year view...you can’t move an event in Year view.

  2. To change the duration of an event, click the event to open it (if you are in Month view), then place the cursor over the bottom of the event until you see a blue bar. Drag the bar up or down to change the duration.

Drag the blue bar up or down to change the duration.

  3. To change the event’s title, click the event to open it, select the title, type a new title, then click Save.

  4. To edit an event’s details, click the event to open it, then click Edit more event options.

    Click the Edit Details link.

The full editor opens where you can make your changes.

    • If this is a repeat event, you can choose to edit all events, this event only, or this and future events.

Select "All events", "This event only", or "This and future events".

    • Make other changes as needed, then click the Save button.

The Adding Detailed Events task describes the full editor and what you can do there.
